larsenAl Larsen is a media artist working in performance, sound and physical computing. He is interested in public space, community and the populist use of media. His work has been presented at festivals in Brazil, Poland, Italy, Argentina, the UK and the United States. He has performed at The international Pop Underground Convention and in numerous other contexts including: sidewalks, rooftops, keggers, shindigs, coffeeshops, colleges, beer halls, theaters, rec rooms, art galleries, basements, lofts and one parade.


He is currently writing and researching on the media ecologies of youth subcultures. His writing on art, popular culture and youth subculture has appeared in Careless Talk Costs Lives, Plan B and The Squealer.


Al teaches courses in media art, new media design and social web media.
